The Religious Affairs Committee addresses religious issues and develops and coordinates religious policies, procedures, and decorum. The chair is Amy Pinette.
Our most visible task is to provide ushers for our services. Although we have a dedicated team, it is small. We would welcome volunteers to help with Shabbat and festival services, and particularly with Bar and Bat Mitzvot. The High Holidays present a particular challenge. Anyone who is Bar/Bat Mitzvah age or older can help. Feel free to sign up as a parent-child, grandparent-child, etc. team.
The Religious Affairs Committee works closely with our ordained staff to define the religious mission of Temple Sinai.
