Youth Group Newsletter (May 2013)

As our school year is beginning to come to a close, youth events at Temple Sinai are still in full swing! Late in March, members of NUTSY, our senior youth group, gathered together in our fantastic youth lounge for an evening spent hanging out with the young Israeli Emissaries, Yuval and Ido, over pizza and cookies. Later that week, just before the start of Passover, NUTSY members joined members of GRSLY, the youth group at Congregation Kol Haverim in Glastonbury, for their annual chocolate seder! Participants were able to stuff themselves full of chocolate while participating in a silly and fun replica of the traditional Passover seder. It is always wonderful when our youth group is able to spend time with other youth groups in surrounding areas! In this spirit NUTSY is busy planning our end of the year youth service, which will take place on Friday, May l7th to which all Temple Sinai members are invited. Temple Sinai will also be host to members from various NFTY Northeast youth groups semi-formal dance, dinner, and shul-in for all participants in grades 8-12. On Sunday, May 19, Temple Sinai’s Junior Youth Group, which is open to members in grades 5-7, will have their end of the year event at Laser Quest in Newington. Please contact me at temple or by email if you have any questions about the end of the year youth programming! Please check out the attached calendar of events!

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to find me at the Temple on a Sunday morning or Wednesday evening or by email new-message24 at any time!
